This weapon is poison gas. It is a gas that is released to slow down the enemy and make them tear up or throw up and even die. The soldiers let the gas out and it can be blown by the wind to the enemy. It can also be dropped down by airplanes.The gas was better than any of the countries could of thought. Fritz Haber invented poison gas in 1909 . It was made in Germany when Several chemists tried to make ammonia from atmospheric nitrogen.Poison gas was made to hurt people and make them sick.
The impact and consequence of the poison gas
This made a big impact. It was good, unexpected weapon. It made the battle in some wars and then other teams had to retreat.
The soldiers that faced it would tear up or throw up from the gas. Some soldiers would wear gas mask to protect them from the gas. Some soldiers that did not have mask would pour water on a cloth to drain out the bad chemicals in the gas. The Leaders of the warring nations were scared of it. It made a big obstacle to get over in war. Some of them had to back off because they don't know how to beat it. The civilians scared that people in war use chemical weapons and thought it was very bad.

Some positives were that It was simple to use, it Work well to serve its purpose, and you could kill mass groups of the enemy or render them if they did not die. Some negatives things about it were that It was up to the wind to tell it where to go,witch can cause a back fire ,some of the chemicals used could easily be detected, and the creation of the gas mask made the gas useless.
Connections to Today.
Tear gas Is a modern day example of this weapon. One way it was improved was that It was made to not kill the people but to just stop them from doing something with minimal injury This weapon is used today to stop riots and uncontrollable protest. The police use it to regain control on a crowd. It is used when crowd starts to use violence. One example of when it is used today is in Egypt where people want a democracy.
